I came to realize that much has changed when it came to my art supplies that I use to make my comics such as "The Super Cliche Hero Chick." So here goes!
I do all my comics in traditional media. I just like having it all there on a piece of original art, and as such I hand letter.
I prefer hand lettering as it looks to be more a part of the work. And for hand lettering I use. A blue col erase pencil. Erasing picks up some of the ink and I don't want that to happen with the letters so I use blue and then channel it out in Photoshop. The Ames Lettering Guide and Ruler. This little device allows you to rule out super precise lines for lettering I also use the ruler for panel borders (did you know that back in the days before computer lettering that it was the letter's job, not the inker's, to rule the panel borders fun bit of trivia). The final lettering and borders are done with a PITT M or Copic 1.0
